SATURDAY MAKAN @ AMOY

I'd jio'ed ah peng, my colleague, for over two weeks ago to try out the porridge & raw fish at Amoy Street Food Centre.
He couldn't make it then as he was on MC.
But now that he's fine, our makan pack resumes.

Hai Kee Famous Porridge.
As it was a Saturday, they keep jio'ing passerbys to come try their porridge.
That's because the makan crowd isn't that big on a Saturday in the CBD.

The targetted dish for today is actually the raw fish instead of the porridge, haha.

This is the 3bucks serving.

The fresh raw fish slices taste great and together with the chilli and ginger shreds you can't stop eating it!

I had the century egg porridge($3) while ah peng had the shredded chicked porridge($2.50).

The porridge is not too hot so that you can eat it without the hassle of blowing it.

Strangely, my century egg porridge comes with pig liver as well.
Don't know if it's their standard ingredients or a Saturay bonus......lol.

Hong's Oyster Pancake Shoppe.
The oyster pancake shop as recommended by ah peng.
$1.50 for the pancake, $0.50 more for extra ingredients.
Of course I had to get the 2 bucks version.

Oyster Pancake ($2.00).

It is stuff with seasoned minced meat, some vege and of course the oysters (two).

Definately a MUST TRY if you're visiting the Amoy Street Food Centre.
