REVAMPING THE LIVING ROOM

We have been using the same old furniture in the living room since the day we moved in.
That'll be about 20 years ago!!!
Hence it's about time we give it a new lease of life.
Gotta do it before the recession kicks in!!!

The walls and ceiling were given a liliac white paint job before we start ordering in the furnitures.

Besta Burs TV Bench
Ordered it at IKEA Alexandra as the Tampines branch doesn't have it.
The delivery guy from IKEA assembling the unit.

Imfors Coffee Table
I bought it from Tampines IKEA and brought it home via taxi.
Then self assembled it because what can go wrong with a coffee table?

One regret is that the coffee table is about 1cm taller than the tv bench.
It looks kinda weird right now, we shall see how it matches up when the sofa gets here(which should be taller).

Sharp Aquos 32" LCD Widescreen TV
What's a living room without a TV?
We're now in the era of the LCD TVs and I've gotta keep up!

Sofa from Defu Furniture
My mom had always wanted an L-shaped sofa so that she can relax in it which watching tv.
So now's the time for a change.
Originally it comes in a variety of felt-like fabric colors for you to choose from but my mom opted for the PU leather which she believes it can be more easily maintained.
We selected light beige and red for the sofa covers.

Dining Table from Defu Furniture
Actually we've ordered a nice looking dining table from vhive in early Oct.
It was temporary out of stock and they said that it'll come in early Nov.
We waited and waited, called and visited vhive......until mid Nov......but they still couldn't give us a clear status of the dining table.
Hence I got back my full refund on my made deposit and headed off to Defu with mom to check out it's selection of dining tables (though they're slightly more pricey).
My mom had her sights on this dining table set and so we ordered it.
It had stock and was delivered in 3 days time :)
