XBOX 360 CORE SYSTEM
I recontracted my MOL4000 for another two antagonising years in exchange for the free XBOX 360 Core System.
The core system only includes:
- XBOX 360 console
- a wired controller
- composite AV cable
- power cord
- power supply
The place of redemption is located at Funan the IT Mall. It's called the Service Hub.
I took the elevator up to the 6th level and joined the short queue with my collection slip and NRIC at hand.
It was a pretty fast transaction. I also observed that there were other people collecting their XBOXs today.
After that I had to wait for Cow to join me for dinner, in the meantime, I went into Challenger(of challenging prices) to check out what other peripherals are available for the XBOX 360.
I was particularly interested in the VGA HD AV Cable as it allows me to play my 360 on my LCD monitor. But it costs a bomb and I would also need to find a splitter which allows me to switch between the inputs to the LCD monitor, namely the CPU and 360.
This is the package and it weighs like a ton of bricks.
The Contents
In the 1st tier, you'd see the console.
In the 2nd tier, you'd see the manuals(covered by various supporting materials for the console).
In the 3rd/last tier, you'd have the wired controller, composite AV cable, power cord & power supply.
The manuals. Includes a sticker as well.
The power supply and its cord. The power supply is damn heavy.
It's also great that the 360 has an external power supply because it lowers the temperature of the console.
The composite AV cables.
Everything seems to have the word Microsoft etched in em.
The AV cable plug.
The controller.
The console(of course).
Even the power supply is not spared.
The Wired Controller
The controller.
Its plug is a USB plug which means that it can also be used with any CPU to play games.
The headset jack.
The trigger buttons(if that's what you call em).
The Memory Unit(64MB)
The memory unit and its carrying case.
The XBOX 360 Console
The console.
In vertical position(the way I'm gonna place it).
This is where you mount the 20Gb HDD(which I do not have & unsure if I intend to get it).
The frontal features.
The Power Up button and the Ring of Light.
The memory unit inputs.
The infra red port for the wireless controller.
The sync button to synchronise your wireless controller with the console.
The disc tray cover.
The eject button.
The XBOX 360 logo is just so pretty that I couldn't help but to capture more shots of it before it turns yellow and caked with dust in the future.
The Setup
Some prepartory work was done to prevent dust from getting into the input/output ports since I may never be using it, haha.
Cables were arranged neatly underneath the TV table.
The back of the 360.
An overview of how the back of the TV table looks like.
That's one helluva chunky power supply.
The XBOX 360 in vertical position.
All ready to go.
The Power Up button and Ring of Light.
The complete rig.

This is a short amount of text where the user tries to write some random crap about him/herself. It's not real actually, it only approximately describes the character of the user. And most of the time it's not true. It's just the qualities which the user wishes he/she had. Some of the commonly used adjectives are: friendly, cheerful, outgoing, happy, cute, sweet, caring and the list goes on...
