New Filter for the Goldies
Being the lazy bum that I am, I wanted to get a more efficient filter for my goldfish tank so that I need not change the water so frequently.
Ironically, today, my last goldie died.
Leaving only the albino cory and the two snakes(I've no idea what's the real name of the snakes).
As I was also low on fish food, I went to the good old ah beng fish shop to pick up the usual and at the same time to source for a new filter.
I saw an interesting filter, it's an internal filter.
How it functions is that it draws in water from the bottom of its long body, passes it thru a sponge filter, then a carbon cartridge and finally displaces the filtered water out of a tap above the water.
This internal filter costs 11bucks.

The Dolphin F-1200.
Parts of the filter.
How it can be mounted in different tanks.
Front of tank.
Top of tank.
The top of the filter.
The water level of the tank needs to be filled up to this part of the filter in order for it to function.
The ripples.
The nozzle of the tap is directed towards the side of the tank so as to reduce the amount of water splashing and disturbance in the tank.
The albino cory.
The snake.
Close-up of the snake.
10 for 2bucks Goldies
I've also come to realise that it's the big brown boulder that's causing the water to turn yellowish. So I decided to dump it.

Guess Which One Is Me
Found this pic from one of my long lost primary school friends on friendster.
Guess which one is me......
Just name which row, from left to right which one.
The answer to be revealed further down the page.
I'm guessing this picture was taken during primary 5.

Answer
Shockinis
I thought Shockinis was facing extinction in sg until I found a couple of pieces in Comics Connection in AMK Central.
I picked out a four arm type.
Here's how it looks.
A close-up.
Overall, I wasn't really impressed by its limited articulation(due to its cuboid structure).
