TRIPLE WAREHOUSE SALE HOOTS
Never have I done this before, going to three WHS in a day.
In the company of probro and Ah Peng, we made our way to Ubi......

First up is the OP warehouse sale.

One of the best so far, its tees are dirt cheap going at 10bucks for 2, so are its board shorts at 20bucks for 2.

Seager WHS.

Dissappointing......what's left are all bags.
Maybe because we didn't go on its first day.

Converse warehouse sale.

It not only has converse items, it also houses other brands like Everlast and Kappa.
And you wouldn't be able to resist yourself.

My damages for the day.

A unique pair of converse sneakers caught my eye.

Later on we had dinner at Han's.

SEOUL YUMMY
Yes, that's the name of the restuarant.

After seeing the raving reviews from probro, I too wanted to try it out for myself.
It's been a long time since I last had dinner with my Ah Ji and Ah Yi.
So I requested the two lovely ladies to join me at Seoul Yummy.

Ah Ji ordered:
Kimchi Jjigae (Hotpot Spicy Kimchi Soup) with Brown Rice.

Ah Yi ordered:
A Vegetarian Udon (Can't remember the set name)

I ordered:
Al Dolsot BiBimBab (Shrinp Roe Hotpot Mixed Rice)

Some side dishes which we picked......

Salode Dak Twigim (Crispy Chicken with Salad Sauce)

Gogi Mandoo (Steam Pork Dumplings)

Cheul Pan Gamja Jeon (Hotplate Potato Pancake)

As we were quite full, for dessert we shared a Watermelon Bingsu.

The price is affordable and the food is rather good.
It has a nice quiet ambience too.
Nice place to have a meal and chat with friends.

HUMBLE FOOD FOR THE HUMBLE MAN

On one of our pre-table-tennis session meals, Desmond led me to one of the hawker centres in Toa Payoh for their fishball noodles.

Although the queue was long but the food preparation was rather speedy under the guidance of the Ah Pek at the front of the stall standing on a pedestal.

You get two kinds of fishballs.
The regular type and the one with more fish meat in it to give it more texture.
Both are handmade.

The noodles are done just right and do not clump together.

Can try, can try.

Ah Mei Cafe is located within AMK Hub, I used to pass by seeing people queue for their briyani.
So probro and I decided to give it a try to see if it's any good.

I had the mutton briyani.
The rice is flavourful, can fight with the one in my neighborhood.
But it's meat is definately not up to par with the Briyani Specialist at Tekka Food Centre.

Probro had the chicken briyani.
As feedback by probro, the skin is nice and crispy while the meat is tender and moisted.

So I guess it is worth a try if you happen to be in AMK Hub.
