PORTABLE 2.5" HDD
I recently moved from the head office to a site office and had to borrow a portable HDD from a friend to transfer my work data from one pc to another.
Hence I believe it's time I get one for myself as well.
I trust that Best Bargain gives the best price for their storage devices so I went there after briefly doing a little homework.

I went for the Samsung 2.5" HDD(5400rpm 8MB SATA) + Mercury screwless HDD enclosure.
Damage: $150

WD Elements and Seagate Freeagent also have their range of portable 2.5" HDD but their prices are much steeper. But their warranty are around 3-5yrs.

My choice of this bundle gives me a 3 yr warranty on the Samsung HDD and a 1 mth warranty on the HDD casing.

Mercury - MySpace 2.5" External HDD Enclosure - Silver

Samsung Spinpoint M - 2.5" 250GB 5400rpm 8mb HDD

The screwless aluminium enclosure in silver.
Also available in black and white too.

The internals after sliding off the aluminium covers.

The SATA ports

The indicating LEDs.

The Samsung HDD.

After inserting your HDD's SATA ports into the SATA outlets within the enclosure, you simply slide the aluminium cover back on till you hear a click.
It's that simple......

Its cool blue LEDs light up while the HDD is running .

JUST ACIA
I'd be moving outta the branch office in Robinson Point this week and shifting to a large site office under the Marina Bay Sands project.
But I'm not in that project.
I'll be stationed there temporarily until I moved into my own project site in Tuas!!!

Anyway, I had a sorta moving-out dinner with some of my colleagues(AhJi, AhYi & AC) at Dhoby X-change(Dhoby Ghaut MRT).
We decided to try out Just Acia as I've heard some good reviews about this Asian restuarant.
Its set meals are affordable(ranging from $5.90-$15.90) and you are entitled to free flow of drinks(coffee & fizzy drinks) and ice-cream(6 flavours).

Chawan Mushi

$1 each if you present to them their coupons(which you can get there).

Ah Ji had the fried chicken and salmon set

Ah Yi had the herbal chicken and prawn roll set.

AC had the chicken and soft shell crab set

I had the spicy chicken and dumplings set.

They have friendly service, the food tasted good, the servings are generous and the time taken for your orders to be served is also quite fast.
Did I mention that there's no service charge, only 7% GST?
Definately worth a try.

CASIO EDIFICE EF-500D-1A
It has been a stressful week for me.
So what better way to relax than to do some retail therapy.
Ever since probro bought his Edifice at The Bencoolen, I have been eyeing another piece in the display window.
Today, we went back......

The EF-500D is a good looking timepiece but its slightly dome shaped glass makes it proned to scratches.

NIKE POLYCARBONATE WATER BOTTLE 500ml
Recently saw 12" bro using a cool water bottle which has got a carabina attached to it.
I couldn't identify the brand so I asked around the forums and found out that it was from Nike.
I saw it at Sports Station in Suntec......

YAKADER MUSLIM FOOD - MUTTON BRIYANI
Makan therapy.
We also dropped by Tekka Market to try out the-other-briyani-stall-with-a-queue.
The wasn't really a need to queue, an Indian uncle at the stall front took our orders and asked us to find a seat first.

Mutton Briyani

The rice was not bad as it comes with a bit of the mutton gravy.
The mutton was very good, almost being able to give the Briyani Specialist a run for their money.

Retail and Makan therapy are cool and refreshes one's mood almost immediately.
But come Monday, it's back to reality.
