Trip to Punggol
I dunno the reason but there always seemed to be ppl coming up to me asking for directions.
I had two experiences today.
Anyway, my trip to Punggol(Punggol MRT to be exact) was to meet up with an online seller to purchase a mousepad that he was selling.

Due to the recent death of my beloved crowntail, I decided to go get some sort of medication or preventive medication for my bettas. Here's what I bought from Rainbow.
6water conditioner(gives the water a bluish tint)

Mini PC Modding Project - Final Phase
Last night I removed all the hardwares from inside the cpu so that I could do the drilling the next morning without damaging the costly components. Six 6mm holes were drilled onto the bottom of the chassis to install the ultra blue LEDs. The circuit is simple: six sets of LED in series with a 100 ohm resistor paralled together. The circuit is soldered onto a manual pcb then it is conveniently inserted into one of the PCI slots on the motherboard(pcb and PCI pins were cleverly isolated with a plastic sheet).
The following are different views of my first pc modding project...
6shades of blue light emerging from beneath the cpu
6blue light casting thru the glass table and illuminating the objects beneath
6underneath the table, the LED lights looked like bright blue udders, haha, beautiful though
6what it looks like inside the cpu(notice the brown pcb & blue switch)
6switch on the back of the cpu(exterior)

For the mini pc modding project, I'd need a round file.
So I went down to the neighbourhood hardware store to check it out.
Hmm...in the store I saw a variety of cool safety glasses. Some even looked like they were made by Oakley!
Amusement aside, I found a set of needle files. There was no price tag on it. I took it to the boss sitting behind his tall counter to inquire about the price. He glanced at the code written in black marker and pronounced:"5 dollars". I began to wonder if he's just making up prices of his own. But anyway, it wasn't very expensive. I paid him while his assistant bagged the set of files.
Then I suddenly felt like checking out the fishes at Rainbow, I went in, looked around and discovered that they have crowntails going at 5 bucks! They used to sell them at 20 over bucks. They still have the high-end bettas but these 5 bucks are beauties too.

Today I decided to visit Betta World to see if they have any new stock.
To my dismay, Betta World is gone! It's shutters were half closed and I could see that the shop is completely vacant.
Then I recalled that there's Arising Aquarium which is nearby. It wasn't difficult to locate and they have quite an attractive collection of crowntails, my favourite. Most of them were going at $15 each.
