Arms Purchase
I've always wanted to display some rifle replicas on my wall.
Saw some in OG Chinatown for quite a while.
They're about $20+.
Recently, I was in Beach Road Army Market when I noticed that a shop was also selling some rifle replicas. Dammit, the uncle was selling em at btw $40+ to $60+.
I believe that was the driving factor for me to go buy some today at OG Chinatown.
Heh heh heh......
M4A1 Carbine
S$22.90
the box:
the contents:
besides the obvious rifle, butt and attachments......
it also includes
- a screw driver
- a strap
- batteries for the laser sight
a closer look:
MP5 A1
S$19.90
the box(front):
the box(back):
The variety on the back of the box made me gian but the salesperson said the stock variety are all that's available there. They have only M16, M4 Carbine, MP5 A1, MP5 RAS, P90 and the UZI.
Hanging em on my shelves.

3 Places in 3Hrs
I had a list of things I wanted to get for the day, but they are located at three different places.
Left home at 1pm after lunch and took a bus to Sim Lim Tower, my first stop.
Crocodle clips:
8 for S$1 fr Sim Lim Tower.
To be attached to a stick and then used to hole up gunpla pieces while painting.
ManWah Decals:
S$6.90 each fr Miniature Hobby @ Marina Square.
MW-1005:
For general 1/100 gundam mechas.
MW-1007:
For 1/100 Destiny Gundam.
MW-1008:
For 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam.
Black Military Sling Bag:
S$5 fr Beach Road Army Market.
While at beach road, I even found time to hunt for the famous beef noodles as advertised by Makan Places Lost & Found. I ordered the dry beef noodles, the gravy was rather slimey but tasty and the meat was nice & tender. OK lah, worth the 3bucks.
Eventually, I was able to reach home by 4pm. Beating the rush hour crowd.

Hardware For The Hardcore
I made it a point today to look for better beads to be used as studs in my gunpla.
Preferably those that have a more metallic finish.
So I went to Spotlight @ Plaza Singapura to check it out.
After a long search, I found this pack of beads.
There're a few types available and at different prices too.
Some are sorta hexagonal in shape while others are shinier.
Their prices range from S$3.99 to S$17.99!
The one I bought is the cheapest @ S$3.99.
As an additional bonus, it gave me great comfort to know that they're made in Japan.
They're approximately 1.5mm in diameter.
Woo......see how shiny they are......
Now don't they look like these:
From here: Traffic Alone
Apparently, these studs costs 500yen/10pcs!
That'll be S$6.99!!!
Then I headed to Art Friend @ Taka in search of some inspiration to improve the nexustand.
A pack of 4 nuts&bolts to be used on the bottom of the stand where the bendy wire(with screw threads) can be secured upon.
But the nut was too big for the threaded aluminium wire core of the bendy wire.
Hence it can't fit.
Luckily, these four nuts&bolts could still be used as decorative bolts at the four corners of any stand with a base that is of a minimium thickness of 6mm.
A pack of rivets to be inserted onto the open end of the nexustand.
It says 3mm but it can't fit onto the 3mm core of the bendy wire.
What a waste of money. It costed me 5 bucks!!!

Post-Examinations Purchases
What better way to celebrate the end of a semester than shopping at Daiso?
Bought a bunch of tools for gunpla modelling.
Soon I'd be getting a mini dremel by Micro2s.
Hence, some cheap attachments would be required.
The cutting disc attachment.
The axis for the cutting disc.
A pen-knife specialized for cutting acrylic sheets.
Some acrylic sheets(1.4mm thick)(translucent white,translucent black & transparent).
An assortment of beads.
Hmm......what could they be used for? Find out here.
The final two coils of black bendy wires.
